Mr. Ron Ortla

Ron Ortla Mr. Ortla has over 25 years of martial art’s experience. He began his training in the martial arts in 1983 at age 13. His training began in the art of American Kempo Karate under Professors Joe & Kathy Shuras, both 8th Dans under Senior GrandMaster S. George Pesare of Rhode Island. In 1995 Mr. Ortla earned the rank of black belt in American Kempo and currently holds a 5th Dan under Prof. Shuras.

In 1996 Mr. Ortla began his training in Hapkido under Sa Bum Nim Daniel Marlborough (6th Dan).

In May of 2000 he then earned the rank of black belt in Hapkido from Sa Bum Nim Daniel Marlborough. Ron is currently 4th Dan (fourth degree black belt) and continues to study under Mr. Marlborough at TMI Self-Defense in Mendon, Massachusetts.

Mr. Ortla instructs some of the children’s classes as well as assisting in the adult classes.
