As a Martial Artist the following points should be observed:

1. Never be disrespectful.
2. Always be eager to learn, and when in doubt ask questions.
3. Practice with sincerity all material taught, and use it to the best of your ability.
4. Your conduct outside of class reflects your art and your instructor.
5. As a martial artist you become a model to society, as such, you should be humble, modest, and honest, at all times and always set a good example.
6. Always remember: A good martial artist does what he or she can to preserve their art, and promote the good name of their art, and seeks to keep it a respected art of self-defense.
7. Patience leads to virtue and merit.
8. Your attitude determines your progress.
